About Us
Suzuka Glocal Commons means intellectual commons created by the region of Suzuka and Suzuka University. Global commons means public property shared by humanity on a global scale. Originally, the concept of local commons, common property for local residents, derived from the British pastoral self-governing system, has existed for a long time. Glocal commons is a combination of this concept of local commons and the word global commons.
The Suzuka Glocal Commons aims to comprehensively share intellectual property created in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture, and Japan, which is shared locally, and property shared in the global community. We also share with the commons of our research and initiatives that approach issues facing global society and the Suzuka region from various perspectives and angles.
